Wizkid wants Nigerians to change their orientation about him displaying his wealth on social media. According to him, what he does is not showing off, but trying to motivate his fans with what he has achieved from his hustles.

“I don’t show off my wealth on the social media. Most of the things I have acquired in life, I never had them before I started hustling. So, now that I have them, I need to show people that these are the things I have gotten from my hustle. When I started, I wasn’t wearing gold necklaces and wrist watches. So, when I buy these pieces of jewellery, I display them for my fans to get them motivated,” he told Matinee in a recent chat.

Gombe Explosion: Police Arrest 3 Persons

                    
The police have arrested three persons in connection with the bomb explosions that went off this morning at the Gombe Motor Park. 
Three bombs concealed in bags had gone off at the park during Friday morning rush hour and killed at least eight people and wounded 34 others, rescue workers told AFP. The State Commissioner of Police, Kudu Nma, also told newsmen in Gombe that a vehicle with an inscription ``Yobe Line’’ was reported to have brought the suspected bombers to the park.

``A vehicle which was suspected to have carried the bombers who came in with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) was recovered. Unfortunately for them, they were caught when they were about to run away,” he said.

19 year old Deisi Ocampo from Chicago is now a multimillionaire after accepting and scratching two lottery tickets her dad gave her as birthday present on October 6th.

Deisi told ABC News exactly what happened

"I rarely play the lottery. My dad buys tickets once in a while and thought it would fun to get me two tickets for my birthday. The following day, I didn’t think much of it when I scratched off the first set of numbers. But when I finished scratching the second ticket, I began to shake and sweat out of nervousness. Reality TV star and rapper TI's wife Tiny Harris recently sparked a controversy online after she confirmed having an extreme eye surgery. Tiny had traveled to Africa for silicone implants to change her brown eyes to ice gray. According to her, she "just wanted to do something different" when she traveled to Africa. Even her husband had questioned her decision to get the surgery at first.

"He was like, 'What are you doing?'" Harris told ABC News. "But he loves them now. He's OK with it as long as I'm healthy and don't have any problems. 

They (doctors) told me that the procedure was going to be quick, five to 10 minutes an eye. They go into the eye and they make a little slit, they take an implant and it's folded up. They open it [and] spread it over your eye. They woke me up. It was very blurry, then it kind of fades in."

Super Eagles Coach, Steven Keshi who was recently relieved of his post as the team’s coach is back. The media officer of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye announced this on twitter this morning.

It's a story about a 300level English Language student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Annabel Nzubechukwu Edeh, who has not been seen since she left a night club with an unknown man many weeks ago in Awka, Anambra state.

Annabel had gone to the night club with friends on September 17th and as the group of girls prepared to leave, Annabel told her friends she was in need of money so would go home with a guy she'd met at the club and would return to school the following morning. It's been 6 weeks and Annabel hasn't been seen.

For 24-year-old Nigerian girl, Joy Williams, the butt enlargement surgery she had, has made her to get to the end of the road.

Joy was said to have had a failed £2,000 butt enlargement after being pushed by peer pressure and low self esteem. According to Dailymail, Joy left Nigeria in 2007 for UK to stay with her mother in Thamesmead. She was said to have inquiried on the internet, where to have a surgery, in which she found out SP clinic in Thailand.

The young girl who has had a nose job before, visited SP clinic on October 14 in a bid to have an enhanced bigger butt. An operation in which her wounds became infected after few days. This made her to go back for

Malala Donates $50,000 to Reconstruction of Schools in Gaza

                            
Nobel Prize winner and Pakistani education campaigner, Malala Yousafzai, has donated $50,000 towards the reconstruction of schools in war-torn Gaza in Palestine. Many public buildings and schools in the Gaza Strip were destroyed by Israeli warplanes and tanks during Gaza's recent conflict with Israel.

Malala made the donation yesterday Wednesday October 29th after receiving the World Children’s Prize for the rights of the child in Marienfred, Sweden. Speaking at the event, Malala said the money will be channeled through the United Nations relief agency UNRWA to help rebuild 65 schools in the Palestinian territory.

A 22 year old woman identified as Ifeoma Okechukwu has been arrested after she allegedly killed an unidentified man who she claimed tried to rape her at her Atlantic View Estate, Alpha Beach Road, Lekki home where she lived with her uncle. The incident happened on Monday October 27th.

Senior Prophet Tb Joshua, founder of Synagogue Church of All Nation, SCOAN, received a warning of arrest if he failed to give a detailed account of the deaths of 116 people who were killed by the Collapsed building at his church.One of the coroners, Oyetade Komolafe turned down submissions from Tb Joshua’s lawyers that the Prophet, should not be summoned because he isn't a direct witness to the September 12 tragedy.

A total of 84 South Africans were killed when a guest house for foreigners at Tb Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations collapsed in Lagos.Komolafe told the hearing in the city that, “The court has the power to summon whoever it deems necessary to assist it.“The counsel should advise The Prophet to come. 

The church is not on trial. It’s not a matter of ego. Nobody is above the law. The court will be fair to all.“If he is an institution with immunity, the court will not even go there. If the man refuses to come, he can be arrested. He has to appear. We summoned The Prophet. We summoned the contractors”.
He is due to give testimony on November 5.

Guy Scott (pictured above with his wife and the Obamas) was sworn in today as the interim president of Zambia following the death of Zambian president Michael Sata yesterday Oct. 28th. This makes Mr Scott, who is of Scottish descent but born in Zambia, the first white president in Africa since apartheid.

Guy Scott, 70, became vice-president of Zambia in 2011 and will serve as interim-president pending when the country holds fresh elections for a new president within 90 days. The Zambian constitution makes it impossible for Scott to be president because his parents were not born in Zambia.

President of Zambia, Michael Sata, Dies At 77

               
President of Zambia, Michaal Sata has died at the age of 77. He died yesterday October 28th at the King Edward VII hospital in the United Kingdom after suffering from an undisclosed ailment.

Born July 6 1937, Mr Sata was elected Zambia's President in September 2011. He is survived by wife Christine and 20+ children. May his soul rest in peace, Amen

A fraudster has been jailed for four-and-a-half years after she conned her fiance and his brother out of almost £150,000 while claiming to be suffering from cancer, Mirror.co.uk reports.

Shameless Lynsey Mitchell, aged 31, spent the cash on hiring limousines, staying in posh hotels and taking her pals to concerts.

She also contacted estate agents with a view to buying a house.

Her devastated fiance Richard Fortune was so distressed by Mitchell's deception, he suffered a heart attack and is in hospital awaiting a transplant.

His brother Derek Fortune became suspicious his bank account was being emptied in May last year.

An Abuja-based woman who was barren for 27 years has delivered a baby boy after reportedly being pregnant for 5 years in Lagos State.
PMNews reports that the woman, Adenike Kolawole delivered on Sunday at Evangelical Church of Cherubim and Seraphim located at Pipeline Road, Mafon area, Ejigbo, Lagos during church service.

Kolawole who is married to Kayode said her problem started after she had a miscarriage. She said she has been looking for the fruit of womb since then. She had sought both medical and spiritual help
before she noticed that she was pregnant. But at the same time she was observing her normal mensural circles.

She said she waited endlessly to deliver but all that expectations was to no avail. This prompted her to relocate to Lagos. She said the search for spiritual solution brought her to the church where she eventually delivered the baby. According to her,  those years were traumatic because her husband was under intensive pressure to send her away.

Australia Bans Travel Flight From West Africa Over Fear of Ebola

                        
The Australian government today announced a travel ban on all flights from West African countries, including Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Thankfully, Nigeria is not included.

Making the announcement, the Australia's Minister of Immigration, Scott Morrison said under the new travel ban, no new visas would be issued to intending travelers from these countries and that all temporary visas would be cancelled, this is all i a bid to stop the spread of the deadly Ebola virus.

He also said all passengers with permanent visas that have to travel to Australia from these countries will be subjected to 21 days of isolation in their countries of departure and upon arrival in Australia will be subjected to all kinds of test. He also announced the suspension of all its West African and Humanitarian programmes.

Beyonce's Tour Photographer Yosra El-Essawy Dies at 33...

   
British-Egyptian born Yosra el-Essawy, the photographer who captured Beyonce’s The Mrs. Carter World Tour, and was behind some of Beyonce's iconic photos, has died. Yosra had been battling inoperable esophageal cancer for about a year. She lost her battle with it on Saturday Oct. 25th. She was just 33 years old.

Yosra was open about the disease and chronicled her battle with it on her instagram page. Beyonce's official website dedicated a day to her and wrote;

“You will forever be embedded in the hearts of all you have encountered. May you rest in perfect peace.". RIP, lady!

FG to Ban Commercial Motorcycles Nationwide

                                   
The use of motorcycles as commercial means of transport in Nigeria, popularly known as ‘Okada’ or ‘Achaba’ may soon be banned throughout the country. Punch reports that the proposal for the ban was made by the National Council on Transport after its annual conference in Enugu State and endorsed by the Minister of Transport, Sen. Idris Umar.

A statement from the Federal Ministry of Transport on Saturday evening stated that the ban of commercial motorcycle was one of the measures proposed towards adequate provision of safety and 
secure transportation in Nigeria. It said the recommendation was contained in a statement of the week long meeting which had in attendance all the state commissioners of transport, permanent secretaries, directors and officials in the federal and state ministries of transport across the country.

Anambra state government over the last few weeks have demolished 3 buildings located at Aguleri and Umuleri, Anambra East LGA, which they say were used to keep kidnap victims.

The buildings include a four room bungalow at Ararite Aguleri owned by a man from Umuobanam but used by his caretaker, one Jude Onu from Imo State and his gang. Other kidnap gangs were said to have used the building as hideout while negotiating for ransom.

Another building which belonged to late businessman Ozoemena Egwuatu but was used by his nephew, one Ejima Nwandu for kidnap activities, was demolished at Umuatulu, Umurueri.

Iranian Woman Hanged For Killing 'Man Who Tried to Rape' her'

                               

27 year old Reyhaney Jabbari (pictured above), was executed today October 25th by hanging in Iran 7 years after she killed a man that she claimed had attempted to rape her. Reyhaney was sentenced to death in 2009 for the stabbing death of Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, a former intelligence officer.

 

A court ruled that she killed Morteza on purpose because she had bought the knife two days before she stabbed him in the back with it. In her defence, Reyhaney said she'd stabbed the man out of self defence. The court overruled her claims and sentenced her to death, a ruling which was upheld by Iran's Supreme court.
