Mariah Carey's brother, Morgan, in an interview with National Enquirer kinda confirmed rumours that surfaced earlier this year that the singer relied heavily on prescription drugs to make it through the day.

Morgan tells National Enquirer his biggest fear is that, "Mariah will die just like Whitney Houston!" He also claims he has never seen her sober and that she drank throughout her pregnancy, even while she was nursing. Morgan also blasted Mariah's ex, Nick Cannon, calling him a grade A golddigger.

Double Tragedy in Ghana As Flood/Fire Claim More Than 78 Lives

Yesterday June 3rd more than 78 persons were killed after a gas station they ran to for shelter during heavy downpour went up in flames in Acrra, Ghana.
According to Ghana's Fire Service spokesperson, Billy Anagate, the fire started at the Neoplan Bus station at about 5.00pm and then quickly spread to the Goil gas station, causing an explosion which killed all the people taking refuge there. Bodies of the victims are still being evacuated from the scene of the incident.

Flood that resulted from the heavy downpour submerged some buildings and vehicles causing people to take refuge in the gas station.

Most buildings that had caught fire from the explosion burned away into the night as 'floodwater around the site hindered recovery attempts. see more photos after cut, pls photos are very graphic and heart breaking.

Great! Senate Approves Life Sentence For Rape In Nigeria

The Senate has passed the sexual offences bill which now attracts life imprisonment for anybody found guilty of rape, child sex tourism or deliberate passage of HIV/AIDS to innocent citizens, and other sexual offences.

This was contained in the Sexual Offences Bill sponsored by Senator Chris Anyanwu, which was passed into law yesterday by the Senate.

The bill prescribes life imprisonment for gang rape, 10 years for incest, another 10 years imprisonment for child pornography or more and a fine of N2 million as well as 14 years jail term for sexual offences.

French Tourist Killed In Ebonyi State And His Wife Molested

                                     
A French couple, Nagnan Denis, 52, and his wife, Nagnan Mee Lavaud Liana, 53, were attacked by unknown hoodlums at a place where they set up a tent in Abomege axis of Onicha LGA of Ebonyi State on Monday June 1st. The man was killed while the woman was molested.

Ebonyi state Commissioner of Police, Maigari Dikko while speaking on the incident, said the victims were tourists who traveled through several countries to get to Nigeria and had traveled through many states and were heading to Calabar, Cross Rivers state when they made a brief stopover in Ebonyi state.

Ship Carrying More Than 450 People Sinks In China's Yangtze River

                              

More than 400 people are missing after a Chinese passenger boat sank on the Yangtze river after being hit by what the captain described as a cyclone.
At least 458 people were travelling on the Dongfangzhixing, or Eastern Star, vessel when it went down at around 11pm on Monday night not far from the city of Jingzhou in Hubei province.
Eight people have been rescued Tuesday morning with heavy rain and strong winds hindering the work of emergency teams.

Eastern Star had been travelling from Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, to the south-western city of Chongqing when the incident happened, according to Xinhua, China’s official news agency.

Dear lord! Graphic Photos From The Fatal Accident In Onitsha Yesterday Afternoon

Some things you see or hear and you get down on your knees and start to thank God for keeping you alive.There was a fatal accident in Onitsha yesteday afternoon. A Tanker with fuel which was coming from Awka and moving towards Asaba failed brake at the busy Asaba Park at Upper Iweka, Onitsha and exploded upon crashing into the park, burning more than 20 people beyond recognition and also burning 10 commercial buses parked at the park. Most of the dead bodies have been deposited at the Toronto Hospital Morgue by FRSC Officials.  See the photos after the cut but please be warned, it's very horrific..
