A one-storey building which served as offices for pastors belonging to Christ Chosen Church of God collapsed in Edo state today. Rescue operation is currently ongoing at the site. Three people are said to have been rescued alive from the collapsed building while two bodies are still trapped under the rubble.
According to eyewitnesses, the building is an old residential building in the church premises, which workers were asked to demolish before collapsing on them and killing three.
Youths in the community after saving people trapped under the rubble, angrily set one of the church buses ablaze. Edo State Commissioner of Police has also confirmed the incident. More photos after the cut.
